This food processer made salad dressing, mayonnaise and other condiments. The companywanted to expand their product line to include new flavors,and develop ahealth conscious product line of allergen and corn syrup-free products. Their staff reformulated each recipe to remove gluten, corn syrup, egg andother ingredients, but maintain the same quality and taste. After trials werecompleted, some of the new recipe formulations also required the company toredesign the production process and acquire additional processing equipment. Wage and materialexpenses for these developments were included to calculate their research credit.
